Findhorn Climate Change & Consciousness Conference (CCC19) - Comes to the Berkshires

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Berkshire Hub of the Findhorn Climate Change & Consciousness Conference (CCC19), taking place in Findhorn, Scotland April 20 – 26, will be offering the opportunity to watch and discuss several of the conference keynotes, including presentations by noted environmentalists Bill McKibben, Pat McCabe, Joanna Macy and Charles Eisenstein. 

Creative responses to the climate crisis will be encouraged through reading to be held at Deb Koffman’s Artspace in Housatonic on April 16, and there will also be a writing workshop hosted by Bard College at Simon’s Rock professor and author Jennifer Browdy, as a benefit for the Sheffield-based Alliance for a Viable Future. Going forward, monthly meetings led by hub founder Rosa Zubizarreta, a veteran Dynamic Facilitation leader, will open up a new space for reflection and sharing on different aspects of community-building and resilience in the face of climate change.

Wednesday, April 24, 7 pm, Monterey Community Center. Pat McCabe “Power of Community” screening and discussion, facilitated by Jennifer Browdy and Rosa Zubizarreta. Free and open to the public. 



In this hour-long interview, Dine (Navajo) activist, artist, ceremonial leader and international speaker Pat McCabe draws on the deep Indigenous sciences of thriving life to reframe inquiries about sustainability and balance.

About the CCC19 Conference and Berkshire Hub



The Climate Change & Consciousness Conference (CCC19) takes place at Findhorn, Scotland, a renowned ecovillage, spiritual community and learning center, April 20-26 2019. The conference brings together eminent scientists, wisdom keepers, business people, activists, artists, entrepreneurs, young people and others, to encourage participants (including thousands watching the recordings distributed to hubs about the world) to prioritize their love for the Earth, putting the environment first in order to steward for the children of the future. 



The Berkshire Climate Change and Consciousness Hub, co-convened by local residents Rosa Zubizarreta and Jennifer Browdy, offers welcoming spaces for conversation and connection around the issue of climate change through monthly connection and networking gatherings that will draw on the resources of the Global EcoVillage Power of Community Summit and the Findhorn Climate Change and Consciousness Conference (CCC19).
