Beneath every thriving ecosystem is a web of connections—root systems, mycelial networks, and subtle forms of communication that hold the whole together. This webinar series lifts the veil on the human equivalent: the relational soil that allows trust-based, cross-sector collaboration to take root across the Northeast. Join us as we explore how real partnerships grow, how leaders build trust across organizations, and why our long-term future depends on strengthening the relationships that hold our region together.

Session Description:
Lev and Daniel have been collaborating since 2021—first through Indigenous Peoples’ Day programs and later through the Deep Roots Cohort Program. Their partnership is grounded in lived relational trust, developed over years of cross-organizational work, shared values, and ongoing dialogue. In this session, they reveal how this foundation allows them to navigate challenges, work across differences, and step into a new phase of professional collaboration between AVF and JumpScale.
Webinar #2: TeamWork
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 9th | 12:00 - 1:00pm ET
Hosted by: Lev Natan, Founder & Executive Director, Alliance for a Viable Future
Featuring BNRC Team Members:
Jenny Hansell, President
Beth Mills, Former Director of Conservation
Emily Daunis, Director of Advancement
Melanie Winters, Donor Relations Manager
Session Description:
Since 2022, BNRC has been one of AVF’s most dedicated partners—participating in Indigenous Peoples’ Day initiatives, sending team members to the Deep Roots Cohort, and integrating relational leadership practices into their organizational culture. In 2024, Beth Mills completed the cohort; in 2025, Melanie Winters participated; and BNRC is already committed to sending another leader in 2026. In this session, the BNRC team will share why AVF’s mission resonates so deeply with their work, how the cohort has supported internal leadership development, and how this partnership has strengthened their team culture and their connection to the wider bioregional movement.
Webinar #3: Rewilding
FRIDAY, MONDAY, DECEMBER 12th | 12:00 - 1:00pm ET
Hosted by: Lev Natan, Founder & Executive Director, Alliance for a Viable Future
Featuring: Micah Mortali, Founder & Director, Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership
Session Description:
Micah and Lev first met in 2022 while preparing the grounds at Kripalu for the Indigenous Peoples' Day tree-planting ceremony—a moment that sparked a deep alignment in their shared commitment to rewilding, grassroots leadership, and nature-based renewal. Since then, their relationship has grown through ongoing collaboration and Micah’s participation in the 2024 Deep Roots Cohort. In this session, Micah will share how the cohort strengthened his leadership, vision, and capacity to steward nature-based learning at scale—and why he believes circle-based community practice is essential for bioregional regeneration and resilience.
