Who I Work With
I work with leaders and teams who are building a viable future—nonprofits, mission-driven businesses, coalitions, and community initiatives. We will be a good fit to work together, if you are values‑aligned, purpose‑driven, and ready to both deepen your embodied sense of purpose and vocational calling while leveling up your strategy, culture, and execution.
“Lev integrates earth and nature-based wisdom with very practical, real-world skills. I needed a spiritual approach to support the practical work. His deep scholarship and personal dedication bring forth such clear, humble, and wise teaching—a framework for leadership that is profoundly powerful.”
— Meg Hiesinger Handler, Ph.D., Founder, The Human Nature Center
Lev Natan has been my business coach for 5 years and he has been a great help in keeping a balance between my family and work life, my spiritual and private life, planning the future of my business and creating effective systems.
“Lev mirrored back the need for deeper listening to develop our organizational vision and strategy. The process naturally brought forth clear answers and next steps as I evolve our mission.”
He has helped me greatly in becoming a good leader for my employees.
During COVID, he helped me deal with the worry and stress and most of all, to think about this closure as a way to create new ways for the business to survive and develop other services.
The immersive retreats that I attended with Lev gave me key insights about my goals and spirituality. Thank you Lev for keeping the vibration high and the love real. Everyone was bringing each other up with sincerity.”

Returning to Coaching & Consulting
After more than a fifteen years of guiding individuals and organizations, I’m re‑opening my coaching and consulting practice—grounded in years of lived experience and renewed clarity of purpose.
I began this path in 2008, working in social services and addiction treatment, offering counseling and support for people in recovery. In 2010, I earned my professional coach certification through the Empowerment Institute, studying with David Gershon and Gail Straub, and launched my coaching practice soon after. From 2010 through 2022, I worked with hundreds of leaders, founders, and teams as a coach, consultant, and leadership educator.
In 2017, I entered a master’s program in Organizational Leadership—studying with Al Bhatt and Mel Toomey, two pioneers in the field—and graduated in 2019. Those years deepened my integration of inner development, systems thinking, and organizational design; and gave me the support to incubate Alliance for a Viable Future. By 2022, our programs—particularly Indigenous Peoples’ Day and the Deep Roots Regenerative Leadership Cohort—had grown to a level that required my full attention. I chose to pause client work and focus entirely on building those collective initiatives through 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Now, as I hand more leadership of Indigenous Peoples’ Day to a community‑based volunteer team and devote my focus to Deep Roots, I feel inspired to return to client work doing customized coaching and consulting.
This next chapter is focused primarily on supporting leaders and organizations who share the values and point of view of the Deep Roots network—participants, alumni, and values‑aligned changemakers who share the regenerative philosophy at the heart of our work together.
My goal is to offer personalized coaching and organizational consulting that extend and deepen the practices cultivated through Deep Roots—helping leaders embody partnership, clarity, and regeneration in their everyday work and long-term initiatives and partnerships.
“Lev is able to patiently echo back what he hears, and provide insight that helps put things into perspective. All of this provides a depth to Lev’s listening, that helps me feel truly heard and seen, and this makes it possible to progress.”
What I Bring: Methods & Frameworks
A practical toolkit woven with 25 years of deep listening.
Getting Things Done (David Allen)
I help teams implement GTD’s five disciplines—capture, clarify, organize, reflect, engage—to create trusted systems, intentional planning, and clear next actions, which reduces overwhelm, reactions versus responding intentionally to priorities, and makes accountability visible across calendars and project boards.
Reinventing Organizations (Frédéric Laloux)
I translate Teal principles—self‑management, wholeness, and evolutionary purpose—into pragmatic structures: clear domains/authorities, advice processes, and role‑based governance that preserve entrepreneurial energy while scaling coordination.
Regenerative Leadership (Laura Storm & Giles Hutchins)
I guide leaders to see their organization as a living system. We work with patterns from nature—interdependence, diversity, feedback loops, seasonality—to design cultures that renew energy, creativity, and value creation rather than deplete them.
The Leadership Circle / Mastering Leadership (Robert Anderson & William Adams)
I use TLC’s research‑backed lens to move leaders from reactive (protect‑control‑comply) to creative (purpose‑relating‑achieving) mindsets, connecting inner operating systems to business outcomes, team trust, and execution.
Enneagram, Dao De Jing & I Ching
These archetypal maps deepen self‑awareness, illuminate conflict patterns, and inform wise decision‑making. We apply them respectfully—never as labels—so leaders can choose mature responses under pressure.
Crucial Conversations & Adaptive Leadership (Heifetz)
I teach skills to make it safe for truth, hold high‑stakes dialogue, and distinguish technical vs. adaptive work—mobilizing people to learn, experiment, and share ownership of tough challenges.
“Coaching with Lev connected my deepest motivations to a pragmatic plan. Our team is measurably more focused and resilient.”
— Jeremy Kalan, MA, LMHC, CPCC, CEO & Co‑Founder, Center for Healing & Transformation
The Tao of Personal Leadership (Diane Dreher)
A contemplative companion for effortless efficacy—acting from centeredness, aligning means and ends, and leading with humility, courage, and timing.
Graduate‑Level Foundations
I hold a master’s in Organizational Leadership and studied directly with renowned leadership educators Al Bhatt and Mel Toomey—influencing my synthesis of inner work, systems design, and results‑focused practice.
What We Do Together
Align purpose, people, and performance so your organization can thrive in a volatile world. My approach integrates inner work and practical systems:
Clarity of Purpose – surface the real “why” that energizes people and decisions.
Psychological Safety & Trust – create conditions where truth can be spoken and learning sticks.
Self‑Management & Clear Roles – honor healthy hierarchy without control‑and‑command.
Road‑Mapped Strategy – priorities, milestones, and ownership everyone understands.
Rhythms of Accountability – cadences that keep momentum without burnout.
From Meetings to Circles
facilitating to energize teams
Typical meetings drain energy. Circles generate it. I use a simple five‑step rhythm that scales from 1:1 sessions to full‑team retreats:
Centering – arrive, breathe, align.
Gratitude – name what’s working; build capacity before tackling problems.
Vision – clarify direction and desired outcomes.
Action – decide, assign, and schedule concrete next steps.
Inspiration – close connected and motivated.
This rhythm quietly embeds strategy, roles, policies, task/time management, and continuous learning into your culture.
“The space Lev created with his presence, intuition, and flexible responsiveness allowed me to carve out a larger, freer space to navigate. I recommend him to anyone who is ready to inhabit presence more fully.”
— Jason Stern, Founder & Publisher, Chronogram Magazine

My Point of View
I work at the intersection of inner development and organizational design. The personal is professional, and vice versa. People do their best work in partnership cultures, not dominator systems; in self‑managing structures with clear agreements; and in environments where authenticity and learning are celebrated. My books—Climate Leadership and The Tao of Movement Building—outline this holistic, regenerative approach.
How We’ll Start
Fit Call (20–30 min) – quick goals, context, and scope.
Discovery (1–2 sessions) – assessment + success criteria.
Plan & Cadence – co‑design the next 90 days.
Do the Work – sessions, facilitation, and deliverables.
Review & Renew – measure progress; iterate.
“The medicine walk enabled me to observe and let go of many preconceptions and judgments. It helped me see with the clarity of insight.”
— Tom Murtha, Senior Advisor, Preventable Surprises
